THE MARIACHI STORY

My name is JM Williams. I was born April 16, 1947 in Canada, but grew up in Arizona.

My family moved from British Columbia to Arizona, from lakes and rivers to desert, from a palette of verdant green to red rock. The Arizona desert is part of me. In Phoenix, at age six, I got my first taste of drama---the theater side. Eventually I became a director and Associate faculty with Mohave Community College,  attended screenwriting classes, and studied Shakespeare at Southern Utah University.

Anasazi history sparked my interest in  Hopi, Navajo, and Zuni cultures. Involvement with a subterranean imaging company had me looking for Spanish gold in a little town west of Veracruz. The Black Mariachi saga was born out of the adventures I had there.

What People Are Saying

“This astronomy based novel addresses the galactic process---the old energy structures hovering around us are changing. Some excellent Anazazi/Egypt explanations of universal consciousness are presented in this saga.”

— EveryDay Connection Radio with Rick Shields

“Now that I have time, in retirement, for pleasure reading entire books, I'm lovin' this one. Local bard JM Williams has got the muse goin'!”

— State Renowned Actor & HHC Drama Coach, Rich Hill

If you like archeology, mysticism, geology and a great story, you'll love this book. BLACK MARIACHI had me hooting and howling aloud at times. Many passages are stand alone cowboy poetry vignettes.”
